Fellows enjoy both the camaraderie of the club and the knowledge they are helping put something back into the community. Since the club started, lifelong friendships have been forged between members and their families which has created a strong and robust culture of ‘family’ within the club.

When first joining Hastings Karamu Rotary I was concerned about the time and effort involved in attending a weekly meeting. But this club’s contribution to Hawke's Bay is significant and important, the guest speakers make for varied and interesting evenings and the fellowship amongst club members all make regular attendance a necessity, not a chore.
